His arrest was allegedly facilitated by an insider who is believed to have leaked information about the alleged conspiracy to law enforcement. In Lil Durk’s indictment, which was obtained by The Mirror, reference the existence of witnesses who claim to have been privy to information regarding the alleged plan.

The indictment says, “Based on evidence collected during the investigation, including the interview of witnesses, I know that BANKS put a monetary bounty out for an individual with whom BANKS was feuding named T.B.” Additionally, the document includes a footnote to specify that the witness’ identities were to remain confidential “due to serious safety concerns” as an investigators claim “that witnesses and/or their family members have already received threats and/or have been contacted in what appear to be attempts to influence their participation in this investigation.”

While the identity of the informant remains unknown, speculation that the OTF Jam, who is currently behind bars, might have had something to do with the police’s intervention. Hip hop reporter DJ Akademiks fueled this belief by making an Instagram post with Jam chomping down on McDonalds in an interrogation room.
