Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Spent Thanksgiving Together at a Charity Event

The non-profit organization brings Thanksgiving celebrations to homeless families.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spent Thanksgiving together yesterday as they joined forces to volunteer for The Midnight Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair in Los Angeles.

Along with their three children, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel, the pair served free meals to the homeless community. They were pictured smiling together wearing aprons from the non-profit organization. As a source told People, “They truly enjoy giving back to their community and cherishing quality time together as a family.” The pair were married from 2005 until 2018.

It was previously reported by People that Affleck would be spending Thanksgiving with his children and with his ex-wife. “He’s very happy with life. He enjoys working,” a source said. “He’ll spend Thanksgiving with his kids.”

Meanwhile, a source told the Daily Mail that the exes were planning a quiet Thanksgiving after the death of Garner’s dog, Byrdie. “Ben and Jen are looking forward to today and Ben is anticipating a relaxing day full of food and football before he has to get back to work on the film,” the source told the publication. “Thanksgiving is all about being drama free when it comes to Ben, it is going to be low key, only good vibes and Jen is on board to make today as easy as possible.”

This is Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since his split from Jennifer Lopez. Lopez, it seems, spent Thanksgiving with her own loved ones. In an Instagram photo, she posed alongside a turkey and wrote, “I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you.”

Although it appears that Lopez and Affleck spent Thanksgiving apart, Lopez is still keen to maintain a relationship with his children. “Jennifer keeps in touch with the Affleck kids,” an insider told People earlier this month. “Her whole family loves them. She wants them to know that they can always reach out if they need anything at all.”
