Jennifer Lopez is ready to ‘start the new year fresh’ following her ‘rough’ split from ex-husband Ben Affleck.
The On The Floor songstress, 55 – who was recently spotted house hunting in Los Angeles this week – notably filed for divorce from the Oscar winner, 52, back in August on their second wedding anniversary.
A source told People in an article published on Friday that the actress is aiming to put the end of her marriage behind her and move forward in 2025.
The insider explained that Lopez is ‘focused on her own life’ and added, ‘She has had a rough year but is doing well. She’s ready for Christmas and to start the new year fresh.’
Jennifer – who is mother to twins Max and Emme, 16 – has been ‘house-hunting for her and the kids’ and ‘would like to find another home for them.’
Her $68 million Beverly Hills mansion that she had bought with Affleck is currently still on the market after initially being listed in July.

And earlier this week on Thursday, Lopez was seen taking a look at properties in both Beverly Hills and Brentwood – an L.A. neighborhood Ben currently resides in.
The singer appeared tense as she toured three spacious mansions while on the hunt for a new place for her family.
Jennifer shares her twins with ex-husband, Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 until their divorce in 2014.
Also on Thursday, the beauty glammed up in a semi-sheer, glittering dress as she attended the 2024 IndieWire Honors in Los Angeles.
The eye-catching ensemble clung to her frame while her long, brunette locks were parted in the middle, and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.
During the ceremony, Lopez was the recipient of the Maverick Award for her performance in the upcoming film titled, Unstoppable.
The Amazon Prime movie is slated to have a limited theatrical release beginning on December 6, before being dropped on the streaming service on January 16 of next year.

The premise of the movie, ‘Centers around the life of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and won a national championship in 2011 while competing at Arizona State University,’ per an IMDB synopsis.
Along with Jennifer, other stars that were cast in the sports drama include Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.

Lopez portrayed one of the leading roles of Judy Robles in the biopic – and last month, her ex notably praised her performance. At the time, he simply told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Jennifer is spectacular.’
The mother-of-two later responded to the comment in an interview while at the Unstoppable premiere in London, per E! News.
Although she did not specifically mention her ex, she expressed, ‘I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes.’
The Amazon Prime film first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival a few months earlier in September.
Lopez made an appearance on the red carpet at the event, with Affleck opting to not attend.

Sources recently told DailyMail.com the reasoning behind Affleck praising Lopez over her acting in Unstoppable.
‘Ben wants Unstoppable to be a major hit, and for JLo to receive as many accolades as she deserves for it,’ one insider stated.
‘Ben doesn’t want their relationship ruining any buzz for the movie and her performance. He wants it to stand on its own.’
The source continued, ‘He knows that he is going to be asked about Jen during media appearances. He is adamant about keeping it very civil.’
