Team USA Coach Disrespected Caitlin Clark & The Fever Fans, So Caitlin Made Her Pay

Team USA Coach’s Five-Word Message on Caitlin Clark Fans Goes Viral.

Cheryl Reeve had a blunt message before the Indiana Fever vs. Minnesota Lynx game

The Indiana Fever face the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday afternoon in their second to last game before the WNBA All-Star break. While a road game for Indiana, a large number of Caitlin Clark fans are expected in the building, as has been the case for every Fever away game this season.

When asked about this prior to Sunday’s contest, Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve (who is also the head coach of Team USA) had a blunt message on the large number of Clark and Fever fans projected to attend this game, saying, “I don’t give two s–ts.”

The message from Reeve has been going viral on X (formerly known as Twitter). The initial post from IndyStarSports reporter Chloe Peterson has been blowing up with reactions from fans who believe Reeve was unprofessional with her answer.

Some have also pointed out that Reeve has made comments about Clark in the past that were not exactly complimentary of the Fever star:

As many fans have pointed out, Reeve is the head coach for USA Basketball women’s national team who left Clark off their roster for the Paris Olympics. This decision was controversial at the time, and has only grown more questionable as Clark continues to flourish in the WNBA.

The pro-Clark crowd in Minnesota was out in full force before the game even began, confirming the pregame notion this would feel like another home game for Indiana:

One of the most popular athletes in sports right now, Clark has fans everywhere. As for coach Reeve, she claims to not care how many Clark fans are in Minnesota for Sunday’s game.
