Tom Brady reportedly turned to ex-wife Gisele Bundchen over his decision to permanently retire from National Football League (NFL). The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, 45, split from Brazilian supermodel, 42, four months ago. A source told US Weekly that the former couple “talked through” quitting the sport before he announced on February 1 that he was retiring.

The former NFL star, who finished his career with seven Super Bowl wins, had earlier retired after the 2021 season with Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but changed his mind 40 days later and agreed to return to the team. His decision is said to have caused a huge rift in their marriage. Earlier this month, Brady, who also has son John Edward, 15, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, 51, announced he is retiring from the NFL “for good.”
